Proverbs 30:2-5
New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Surely I am more stupid than any man,
And I do not have the understanding of a man.
Neither have I learned wisdom,
Nor do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.
Who has ascended into heaven and descended?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has wrapped the waters in [b]His garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name or His son’s name?
Surely you know!
Every word of God is tested;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.

In verse 2, “Surely I am more stupid than any man, and I do not have the understanding of a man. How many times have I known that and felt like that? Way too many to count. I find it comforting knowing it is in the book of truth.

Verse 3, but I want to learn wisdom and I want to know the Holy One.

Verse 4 He gathers the wind in His fist. He is the One who is in control of all things. He gathers the waters in His garment. In fact, He can gather the water in anything He wants. He is the Creator of all things. He established all the ends of the earth. What's His name and His son’s name? Jesus is His son’s name and God the Father is His name.

Verse 5 He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. There could not be a better shield.

Dear Lord, Please help me to always take refuge in You. I want to learn Your wisdom and I want to know more about You. Please teach me. I pray these things in Jesus name. Amen

June 17, 2013

Can I dare say what is on my mind?
Can I dare say how I am feeling right now?
Will it help anything?  No.
Will it hurt anything?  Maybe.
Can I be open and transparent?  Probably not.

I can tell all things to God because He knows all already.
He is safe.
People on the other hand are not safe and they don't care.
Usually, they don't care very much, maybe a little.
Or they want to care in a way that is easy for them.
In a way that relieves them of feeling guilty.

So since God can help and since He does care, I will tell God.
He knows already that I have been unemployed since November.
He knows already how I feel.
He knows already the plans that He has for me.
He wants me to rely on Him and come to Him because He is my HOPE.
He is my confidant.
He is my rock.
He is the one who knows all things.
He is the one who can be trusted.
He is the one who loves me unconditionally.
He is the one who will not reject me.
He is the one who hold me in the psalm of His hands.
He is the one who knows the future.
He is the one who owns all the cattle on all the fields.
He is the one who moves people & nations.
He is the one in control of ALL things.
He is King, Almighty, Holy, Wonderful, Comforter, Protector, Provider, Father, I AM that I AM, King of Kings, Jesus.
Thank you Lord for your Word!
The Word is a person, Jesus Christ.
I feel so much better now after remembering these things & writing them out.  Good day!

June 5th, Psalm 53

The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.
Help me to remember to pray for those people.
Because there is no one who does good.
There is not one who seeks after God.
Everyone has turned aside and has become corrupt.
There is not one who does good, not even one.
Lord, have mercy on us all, I pray.  Amen.

53 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,”
They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice;
There is no one who does good.
God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men
To see if there is anyone who [c]understands,
Who seeks after God.
Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.
Have the workers of wickedness no knowledge,
Who eat up My people as though they ate bread
And have not called upon God?
There they were in great [d]fear where no [e]fear had been;
For God scattered the bones of [f]him who encamped against you;
You put them to shame, because God had rejected them.
Oh, that the salvation of Israel [g]would come out of Zion!
When God [h]restores His captive people,
[i]Let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

June 4th Psalm 52

I like to pray as I read the Word.  Then I know that I am praying the Lord's will.  O Lord, teach me Your Word today, I pray in Your name, amen.

Psalm 52 will be in bold, the other are my words.
(me) God Your loving kindness endures all day, every day.  Help me hate evil & deceit.  Help me love good. Help me never speak falsehood but always speak right.  Help me watch what comes out of my mouth and only honor You, Lord.
It is fearful what You will do to those that do evil, help them turn from their ways to Your ways.
Help me to pray for those that do not know You.  I was one of them at one time.  Help me trust in Your loving kindness forever and ever.  Help me give thanks forever for what You have done for me. Help me always wait on You

52 Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man?
The lovingkindness of God endures all day long.
Your tongue devises destruction,
Like a sharp razor, O worker of deceit.
You love evil more than good,
Falsehood more than speaking what is right. [c]Selah.
You love all words that devour,
deceitful tongue.
[d]But God will break you down forever;
He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent,
And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah.
The righteous will see and fear,
And will laugh at him, saying,
“Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge,
But trusted in the abundance of his riches
And was strong in [e]his evil desire.”
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;
trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.
I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it,
And I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.

June 2nd Psalm 51

What I get out of Psalm 51

Be gracious to me, O God
You are loving, compassionate.
You blot out sins.
You cleanse me from sins.
It is against You that I sin.
You are blameless when You judge.
We are all conceived in sin.
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
Create in me a clean heart.
Renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.
Sustain me with a willing spirit.
Then I can help teach others Your ways.
They will turn to You.
Help me declare Your praise.
You do not delight in sacrifice or I would give it.
Your sacrifices are a broken spirit.
A broken and contrite heart, You like.
