May 12 Psalm 34:8-14

Psalm 34:8-14

Good morning,

Let me see what rich nuggets we can get from these 7 verses today.

Just taste and see for yourself how good the Lord is.
Happy are the ones who take refuge in Him.
Now here is something He tells us who know Him to do, fear the Lord.
What in the world does fear the Lord mean and why does He want me to fear Him?
Fear the Lord is to reverence Him and keep Him in awe and hate evil and obey Him.
When we do that it pleases Him and we lack nothing.
Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
He says to come my children and listen to me and I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
The bible will teach us how to fear Him.
Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Turn from evil and do good and seek peace and pursue it.

Let's summarize even more:

The Lord is good.

Be happy by taking refuge in Him.

Fear the Lord.

The Lord will bless those who seek Him.

The Word will teach us to fear Him.

If we love life and desire to have good days, keep our tongues from speaking evil and our lips from telling lies.

To do this, we have to keep our hearts and minds from thinking evil things because what we speak comes out of our hearts and minds.

Turn from evil.

Do good.

Seek peace.

Pursue peace.

These are the rich nuggets from Psalm 34:8-14.

Good day!
