June 5th, Psalm 53

The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.
Help me to remember to pray for those people.
Because there is no one who does good.
There is not one who seeks after God.
Everyone has turned aside and has become corrupt.
There is not one who does good, not even one.
Lord, have mercy on us all, I pray.  Amen.

53 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,”
They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice;
There is no one who does good.
God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men
To see if there is anyone who [c]understands,
Who seeks after God.
Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.
Have the workers of wickedness no knowledge,
Who eat up My people as though they ate bread
And have not called upon God?
There they were in great [d]fear where no [e]fear had been;
For God scattered the bones of [f]him who encamped against you;
You put them to shame, because God had rejected them.
Oh, that the salvation of Israel [g]would come out of Zion!
When God [h]restores His captive people,
[i]Let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

June 4th Psalm 52

I like to pray as I read the Word.  Then I know that I am praying the Lord's will.  O Lord, teach me Your Word today, I pray in Your name, amen.

Psalm 52 will be in bold, the other are my words.
(me) God Your loving kindness endures all day, every day.  Help me hate evil & deceit.  Help me love good. Help me never speak falsehood but always speak right.  Help me watch what comes out of my mouth and only honor You, Lord.
It is fearful what You will do to those that do evil, help them turn from their ways to Your ways.
Help me to pray for those that do not know You.  I was one of them at one time.  Help me trust in Your loving kindness forever and ever.  Help me give thanks forever for what You have done for me. Help me always wait on You

52 Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man?
The lovingkindness of God endures all day long.
Your tongue devises destruction,
Like a sharp razor, O worker of deceit.
You love evil more than good,
Falsehood more than speaking what is right. [c]Selah.
You love all words that devour,
deceitful tongue.
[d]But God will break you down forever;
He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent,
And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah.
The righteous will see and fear,
And will laugh at him, saying,
“Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge,
But trusted in the abundance of his riches
And was strong in [e]his evil desire.”
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;
trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.
I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it,
And I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.

June 2nd Psalm 51

What I get out of Psalm 51

Be gracious to me, O God
You are loving, compassionate.
You blot out sins.
You cleanse me from sins.
It is against You that I sin.
You are blameless when You judge.
We are all conceived in sin.
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
Create in me a clean heart.
Renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.
Sustain me with a willing spirit.
Then I can help teach others Your ways.
They will turn to You.
Help me declare Your praise.
You do not delight in sacrifice or I would give it.
Your sacrifices are a broken spirit.
A broken and contrite heart, You like.

June 1st Psalm 50

Oh God, have mercy on me, on us.

50 The Mighty One, God, the Lord, has spoken,
And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God has shone forth.
May our God come and not keep silence;
Fire devours before Him,
And it is very tempestuous around Him.
He summons the heavens above,
And the earth, to judge His people:
“Gather My godly ones to Me,
Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
And the heavens declare His righteousness,
For God Himself is judge. [b]Selah.
“ Hear, O My people, and I will speak;
O Israel, I will testify [c]against you;
I am God, your God.
“I do not reprove you for your sacrifices,
And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.
“I shall take no young bull out of your house
Nor male goats out of your folds.
10 “For every beast of the forest is Mine,
The cattle on a thousand hills.
11 “I know every bird of the mountains,
And everything that moves in the field is [d]Mine.
12 “If I were hungry I would not tell you,
For the world is Mine, and [e]all it contains.
13 “Shall I eat the flesh of [f] bulls
Or drink the blood of male goats?
14 “Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving
And pay your vows to the Most High;
15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
16 But to the wicked God says,
“What right have you to tell of My statutes
And to take My covenant in your mouth?
17 “For you hate discipline,
And you cast My words behind you.
18 “When you see a thief, you [g] are pleased with him,
And [h]you associate with adulterers.
19 “You [i] let your mouth loose in evil
And your tongue frames deceit.
20 “You sit and speak against your brother;
You slander your own mother’s son.
21 “These things you have done and I kept silence;
You thought that I was just like you;
I will reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes.
22 Now consider this, you who forget God,
Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be none to deliver.
23 “He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me;
And to him who [j] orders his way aright
I shall show the salvation of God.”
